Valentine's

8:57 AM

Life seemed miserable when you're in high school and college and it's Valentine's Day and you don't have a boyfriend, not even an admirer, to give you flowers while other girls walking were holding a bouquet of roses in one hand and hugging a gargantuan stuffed toy with another. Yeah, life sucked indeed huh!

Then you grew up, got a job, met a lot of people, experienced to have admirers (yes, it's plural now), actually met someone, found a boyfriend, finally received bouquets of flowers and chocolates (even without the stuffed toy).

Then you got married, got kids, got a lot more things to think, to do, to be anxious for, to be thankful for - that you're strong and healthy, while you see your neighbor hunched back because they're trying to earn meager cents decent money to feed hungry mouths day in and out.

Then you're three decades old and suddenly you realized, you don't need a bouquet of flowers to feel loved. Or any stuff. Because you know, YOU ARE LOVED!

Because LIFE is... you know, LIFE. Happiness is a choice. You can even invent it if you want to!

But then, I need a bite, or two, of red velvet cupcakes because, oh so suddenly too, I'm craving for sweets! Must be the Valentine's...
